Expansion & Distalizing

Expansion appliances are designed to increase the width of the upper jaw (maxilla) or the lower jaw (mandible). Distalizing appliances are used to move teeth posteriorly or distally. This is often done to create more space in the mouth or to correct specific malocclusions (misalignments of the teeth and jaws)
